January 2010 is the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century. We chose this month as the establishment date of The Hong Kong Astral Society as a non-profit registered organization in Hong Kong as a platform to study, learn and interflowing opinions of spiritual paranormal phenomenon in a pragmatic manner. 

What is spiritual paranormal?

We come to a definition as follow,

"Spiritual": any object which has thoughts and will should be named spiritual.

"Paranormal": any phenomenon interacting within us within our living dimension but beyond our traditional cognitive model should be regarded as paranormal.

With this introduction of “spiritual paranormal", we believe it is lucid to most people that the main objective we learn is those all non-human, non-animal, non-botanical, non-virus and non-bacteria; however, they do exist in our dimension within our mother planet and at the same time, they have free will resembling commonly known living organisms. Thus, all those we commonly refer as ghost, monster, elf, demon, even life form cannot be named and alien from distant living on Earth are the objects for studying.

Why should we establish The Hong Kong Astral Society? 

1. To understand our actual living dimension. General speaking, we can only rely on our five senses to understand and recognize our world. However, is the world really that simple? While we are still able to answer in doubts, we should have to think and to uncover what sort of dimension we are living in and whether this dimension only consist of all those known survival form in our existing cognitive model. 

2. To think about our own future. From cradle to grave is inevitably for everyone, nonetheless, there will be nothing left after death or there will be a way out is an unanswered question since the dawn of human history. A huge number of non-ignorable cases which cannot be fully explained by current science tend to show that death is not a conclusion. We believe this is worthwhile to think and it is necessary. 

3. To promote the interflow of related information and to break the barrier of thought pattern. Local people traditionally believe that studying spiritual paranormal phenomenon is an inappropriate course of action. There are also some entities suppressing people’s desire to uncover that information by means of authority given from “somewhere”. Or, such entities sometimes convey incomplete, unreal, non-scientific information and knowledge. On the contrary, there is no platform for people to study the spiritual paranormal phenomenon in an academic approach. Hong Kong, in such sense, indeed cannot be compared with advance developed countries. We hope that via this society, we can provide a solid platform for those interested parties to obtain spiritual paranormal phenomenon’s new knowledge, information, cases study, and even first-hand experience. This could open a new horizon for our audiences and even let them to have their own point of view. In addition, we also hope to break the boundary of some religions, providing fair and impartial manner to elaborate different religions and beliefs. Such that, people can think from more different perspectives to understand spiritual paranormal phenomenon and related topics.

2. News Letter 

A monthly newsletter in electronic form will provide the world's latest spiritual paranormal phenomenon information, related research reports, academic theories, and other related information.

3. Workshops / Lectures 

Organizing seminars related to various spiritual paranormal phenomenon topics on a regular basis.

4. Spiritual paranormal phenomenon field inspection activities. 

Organizing regular field visits, field trips and first-hand experience activities.

We hope that everyone can actively participate so as to open up a broader vision and gain access right to the information you should know.
